Dr. Presser is a prosthodontist and periodontist who specializes in esthetic reconstructive dentistry, gum disease prevention and treatment, and dental implant placement and restoration. His specialties required an additional three years of training after graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
While at dental school, he received several awards, including the E. Howell Smith Award for outstanding achievement and proficiency in prosthetic dentistry, and the Henry B. Robinson Award for the highest proficiency in all phases of clinical dentistry. Dr. Presser was also granted membership in two of the most prestigious honorary dental societies: the Omicron Kappa Upsilon and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
The doctor lectures nationally and has authored several scientific papers, one of which was published in Science magazine. Dr. Presser is a member of national and international dental societies, and he serves on the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania as a clinical assistant professor.
Prior to dental school, Dr. Presser studied fine arts, and he still paints and sculpts in his spare time. The doctor also enjoys cooking, baking artisan breads, reading, and listening to classical music.
Louis F. Rose, DDS, MD is unique among his peers. He is a periodontist who also has a degree in medicine. He received his dental training at Temple University, graduate training in periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, and his medical training at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. In addition, he is Clinical Professor of Periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania and New York University, and also Professor of Medicine and Surgery at Drexel University, College of Medicine.
Dr. Rose is a Diplomate and Director of the American Board of Periodontology and is on the editorial board of several peer reviewed journals, including the International Journal of Periodontology & Restorative Dentistry, Journal of Periodontology, Journal of Esthetic & Practical Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry. He is editor-in-chief of the Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry. He maintains a private practice in Philadelphia limited to periodontics and implant dentistry.
Dr. D. Walter Cohen is a world renowned expert in the field of Periodontics. He has served as the Dean of the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine and Chancellor at MCP Hahnemann University of Health Sciences in Philadelphia, PA. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology (AAP).
Dr. Cohen has authored and contributed to 22 textbooks and more than 125 articles and he has received numerous awards from all over the world. Honorary degrees from Boston University, the Hebrew University in Strasbourg, the University of Detroit and Carol Davilla University in Romania and the Gold Medal from the AAP are just a few.
He was only the third American to earn honorary membership in the British Society of Periodontology. The French government bestowed its Legion of Merit Award to Dr. Cohen in recognition of his significant contributions to dental education in France. In 1997, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem dedicated the D. Walter Cohen, D.D.S. Middle East Center for Dental Education in Israel.
Dr. Cohen is one of only 23 dentists in the United States who has been elected to the prestigious Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences. He currently serves as Chancellor Emeritus at Drexel University College of medicine. He practices periodontics here in Philadelphia in the same practice his father began almost 70 years ago.
